COVID-19 UPDATE

1. We are following the instruction and guidelines of the City Miami, Us rowing and CDC.
2. We will take every day the temperature of each rower. If the rower has been exposed or anyone has been symptoms of COVID-19, as detailed by the HEALTH DEPARTMENT, parents must report immediately to MRC.
3. Coaches, rowers, and parents will be mandatory to wear masks in the facility, and immediately arrive to the dock.
4. Every day, all equipment will be cleaned after use.
5. We will do different schedule for each group.
6. Programs will be running is small boats for keep the social distance.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Implemented Health and Safety Measures for all rowers:

  • All rowers must have their own masks.
  • Masks must be worn inside the cottage, on land, and on the dock.
  • Masks are not required to be worn while engaging in practice activities on land or on the water.
  • All rowers must maintain physical distancing of at least 6 ft.
  • All rowers must follow all cleaning and disinfecting with their equipment:

· Oars disinfected before and after each use.
· Boats washed and disinfected after each use.

Wellness Checks:

  • Every day each rower will affirm they are in good health and have not been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 as detailed by the CDC.
  • Each rower’s temperature will be taken via an infrared thermometer. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will not be allowed to attend practice until they are fever free for 48 hours.
  • All programming will be done in singles (1xs) in order to maintain proper physical distancing.
  • Signage posted in the cottage and throughout the boatyard regarding new guidelines.
  • All scullers will use an online logbook instead of the binder in the oar shed.
  • All repairs will be noted on an online repair log instead of on the board in the oar shed.

Implemented Health and Safety Measures for all staff and volunteers:

All staff and volunteers will be required to wear masks while on land and interacting with rowers.
All staff and volunteer’s health will be monitored daily.
Staff will clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as doorknobs and faucets before and after each practice.

Administrative Changes to ensure Health and Safety for staff and parents:
All financial transactions will be done through our website.
