Ever wondered what it would be like to glide across the water in a rowing scull? Intrigued by those rowers you've seen on Biscayne Bay? Come get a taste of what rowing is all about.
Rowing is not only a sport that uses all your major muscle groups and, therefore, great for your personal health and fitness, but it is also a sport for life. There are many rowers who start rowing while in school and either continue to row competitively or recreationally throughout their lives. Some take time out for careers and family and then come back to rowing later in life. And some, like you, are starting out fresh at various stages in your lives. We hope you will find rowing as enjoyable, challenging and addictive as we, the MRWC master rowers do!
Learning how to row is best accomplished by taking lessons. For your own safety and the safety of other rowers on the water, it is important to learn how to handle a rowing boat properly. Miami Rowing and Watersports Center has an excellent Learn-to-Row program. Please contact Katie Davis, General Manager.
